Dr. Joseph Mercola has nearly 3 hour expose on psychiatric pills with this title, on mercola.com or You Tube Dr. Mercola. Nearly all were considered to be essentially useless, as they were based on theory, not proof, that depression was caused by a chemical imbalance in brain. A review of the studies showed not even one seemed to have proof to back up theory. But some seem to benefit from placebos.
The group who examined the studies proposed a new guess, maybe at least most of "mental illness" caused by undiagnosed physical problem. I think I might agree. Best wishes, George (MN)
