The Musical Woods & Victorian piece
After work today I headed back for my second hunt around the 1800's stone chimney I detected last Saturday. No coins today, but lots of relics. I think this new spot is going to be very productive and I just gained access to a LOT more land around it.
I know CW Union troops went through close to this area and the old stagecoach road passes through this property also. Hopefully I'll eventually start finding some CW relics.
Lots to cover!
Last Saturday I dug four harmonica reeds, and today another five. They were all fairly close together (within a 10' radius).
I have no idea why so many?
The highlight of my hunt was this Victorian era piece with a lady on it and an old locket (?). There is still cloth attached to the Victorian piece. Any idea what it was?
Although only a portion, I thought the lavender colored glass from an old oil lamp was a pretty neat find too.
One tick yesterday (80 degrees), but none today (60 degrees).
Thanks for looking.

Them boys like throwing down it looks like.
The sash buckle piece is neat as well.Good stuff.
Get out there and find the other half!
The oil lamp reservoir you found was made by Riverside Glass. The Riverside Glass Works opened on September 17, 1879 in Wellsburg, West Virginia. They were best known for their tableware and the famous "clinched-on-collar" oil lamps.
