I guess it can't really be done. It's been raining cats and dogs. I had to go out fairly early. Made my first stop, now there are places around here that had 2" of ice built up from the storms this week. I was walking by one of the almost melted slabs of ice, the grass is peeking through. I look down, look down again. And pick up a gold colored ring. Huh? Well, it's marked 14k.

I made it to the first store, bought a couple things and left. An hour later, went to the grocery to pick up some stuff. I was in this one aisle, no one else in it, and there lay a $10 bill. I picked it up. Good grief! Thank you God!

At the register, after I pay the guy I notice two halves in the drawer. They are two 40% ers. Can it get any weirder?

So I decided to drop by my one permission. I have the good shoes on. I wanted to check the field out for erosion, ice depth, etc. I just walk over to the side and there is a button lying on the top of a little mound of dirt. Button? Well, it's a Confederate school button, I have to look to see which one. I think I already have one of these, but will look in a bit.

So by now my head is spinning.

I finally get home and decide to try a spot in the woods I'd found some horseshoes in and some nails and a couple tombac buttons. Found another horseshoe, a tombac button, a silver thimble in great shape and a colonial shoe buckle.

Who could have ever thought? As long as a meteor doesn't land in the lawn, I'll be ok. I just got done, so will post the pics soon. Good grief. Soon has arrived, tombac still in the car and I'm not going back out but here you go.

How are you not at the casino right now?

No, no, no. No gambling. My son in law was less than an hour from death, best guess. It was close. With septic shock and a bp of squat, you don't have long. The miracle has happened. My "accidental" finds of today were a hug from heaven. I must give credit to Him who is in charge. I'm glad HE's in charge. That is all. That is also more than enough.

(Now I should try to find where I misplaced a small but cool find in this house, THAT I might find!) I already won the BIG lottery in the sky.

Prayers for you and your family ! Hope your good luck continues for you and them and keeps on getting better!!

Finds are secondary...Family comes first. God bless, Smokey. 🙏

Congrats on an awesome day of crazy luck! I've had many days that have gone just about the opposite and a couple lucky days sprinkled in, but not like yours!

Thanks all. I do not believe in luck...really.

No luck....You are just on fire lately.way to go:thumbsup:

Wow you had a crazy unexpected day. Great eye and I love that buckle. BTW That horse shoe I left in your car, its in my garrett bag. LOL

Prayers said.

The silver thimble and complete shoe buckle are both on my wish list, very well done, as usual.

Smokey, what a post. First and foremost prayers go out for your son in law on a Full and Speedy Recovery. You truly had some nice finds indeed. I wanna go hunting with you Lol. Friday I was grocery shopping for my mother in law and I went up an isle when I found a folded five dollar bill lying in the floor with no one around. I thought I was Lucky, but this didn't touch your run. We'll Done on the Confetrit button and all the other finds.

That is truly unreal. Someone is lookin' out for you. Hope your son inlaw is ok.

What a weird, weird day. Gott'a love it! That's a beauty of a shoe buckle. Great stuff!

Thanks all. I'll get another update tonight, but things are looking up. Good thing my daughter has great insurance.

AWESOME day! Congrats! Way beyond a trifecta!

Congrats on the good day following the very bad day. Gonna bite my tongue on the God attribution, because I respect you. Glad to hear your son-in-law is going to be all right. Scary stuff. Keep looking down!

Smokey that is AWESOME!!!! What a unbelievable day and I couldn’t think of a better man to have it. Congratulations on the Gold, Silver, Cash and Relics. Did I say unbelievable already?

I don't know which was more shocking. I mean, I suppose I'm so used to looking down at the ground (don't want to trip on stuff), that one thing, then 10 miles away the second, then another 10 miles or so, #3. Crazy for sure. I always keep bills I find. Used to keep all the change I found on the ground but after about 15 pounds decided to dump the change.

The store god's,eyeball god's and metaldetecting god's are doing their best to making you the greatest treasure hunter of all time.

The thimbles a nice one!
