They finally picked the corn at a spot I have been wanting to hunt for a long time.
One of the locals told me that it was a stagecoach stop back in the 1800s.
This was my best day in quite a while.

The last pics are of the LC after a 2 hour ride in the tumbler and the crotal bell from the site after 1 hour in the tumbler. This is the first crotal bell I have found with a patent date on it.

I knew when you said it was your best trip in a long time,it was going to be good!!!I see you have a piece of what I live for.....the belt loop portion of a Tongue and Wreath buckle! :thumbsup:the rest should be there!

Not sure what that was. It is a copper tube with two sections.
I got it open and found a black, hard substance inside.

Good luck Merf,and I wanna see it when ya find it.It has a longer bridge than I am familiar with so I will be curious as to which buckle it is :icon_scratch:

Thanks. Mine is almost identical but came from a really old site in Japan. I couldnt get mine open but managed to accidentally crack it and some oily stuff oozed out. It scared me and I rapped it up and threw it back in my `dunno` bin.
