The Potato Field that has been really good to us in the past had 2 separate areas that were too wet to drill with Spring Barley. They were now dry enough to try, plus a couple of areas damaged by rabbits.
These areas were bigger than expected & took us 3 hours to grid them.

Napoleonic period Artillery Button
Complete Ringing Crotal Bell (had loads from this field)
Barrel Tap Key
2 Bits of Scrap Silver
Lead Cloth Seal
1916 3 Pence
Henry VI Calais Mint Penny 1422-30

Glad we kept the streak alive with another hammered!

Never had a Henry VI , I've had newer and older Henry's but he has so far evaded my Nox.

His day will come [emoji52]

Button, crotal bell and a nice hammered...:icon_thumright:
The Crotal Bell was a nice finish to the day, we were trying to round off the last 5 minutes to 3 hours, so went down a tyre track over land we had done before drilling & it was too hard far Cru'dad to dig, so I doubled back & dug what was a deep signal & not iron. It's a 'silvery' type we don't get complete that often, so a nice end to the day.

The amount of detail remaining on your Henry VI Calais Mint Penny is amazing Cru. :icon_thumright:
I'd love to dig a crotal bell of this vintage some day, not likely to happen here in Southern Ontario though.

Hope you and your Dad are both well these days,
Dave
