The first 3.5 hrs we spent finishing the Potato Field & trying some nearby grassland. It was pretty much a bust, as we had found no recordables. (ie. things we GPS).
Out of desperation Cru'dad decided to take us to the small 1/2 acre game strip in the Copse Field.(That we gridded in 1 hr 45 mins) This is where he had a couple of scrappies from on Weds. Conditions were perfect; rolled flat with the corn just starting to show & the ground still damp underneath. His first coin find was what he thought was a big deep piece of lead, until the lump got smaller & smaller & turned into Silver! This was one of Cru'dads best digs with the new (My old) GMP, so its starting to pay off. We ended up with 7 Roman Bronze Coins & a Roman Bezel of a Child's Ring.

Thanks for all the great comments.

Tomorrow we will spend doing the rounds with some of the farmers. Showing them all the stuff & looking for more options. Because we are now pretty much out.
