The Potato Field Day 9...

First snow day this Winter, it stayed all day & the ground was frozen.
No way of seeing any flints today.
I decided to change the routine & stay on this field all day.
5 Hours gridding:

Livery Button
1 & a bit Jettons
2 Crotal Bells
Half of a large Medieval Purse Bar
Lead Sheep
Bits...

Yeap, but we have finished gridding the area we have never covered.
Our only choice next visit is areas we have gridded twice, so we will struggle next visit.

Yeap, had pigs, horses & cattle, first sheep.

Not really they are hollow. It's part of a toy farm yard set, circa 1930s.

Me neither, the farmers/owners like them as well when we give them away.

They really can relate to the bells, given many away over the years and still have loads. It really gives me pleasure digging the impacted soils out of the bell and hearing it ring again after a century, or many centuries, as the ones dug on your side of the pond. One of those "How cool is that" moments.
