Well I decided to go with Iron Patch's advice...He told me to continue getting out as much as possible and ride the wave when your coil is hot and so far he was right once again! Started off digging a few buttons here and there then I get this low tone and dig it up and see the hint of gold...Yup another gold brooch! The early British Navy button was next in line right beside this pile of gold tilted button "ALL" in one hole... My heart skipped a beat as I thought they may have been an officer's gold plated marked military button, turned out to be civilian after I cleaned a couple up. The silver 5 cent piece was soon to follow... All of this before noon, so we decided to give another field a try and managed a copper, silver spoon handle and an early complete french pewter button. We spent an hour there and decided to try for random drops again in the first huge field...I get this nice silver signal and out pops this child's silver ring. Can anyone get a date from the script when this was made? Also managed this nice shield buckle, seen some found but a first for me. Also not shown in the picture is a frag from a cannon ball.... I really hope this hot streak continues...Thanks for looking!
