Not too much to report this week, boxes have not yielded much. Every bit counts though.

1/9- No Activity

1/10- Made 5 bank stops:
#1- $5 in cents(1 wheat, 2 canadian)
#2-Dumped about $160
#3-$40 in nickels(10 customer yielded a few 1940s and a 1993 Canadian)
#4-$50 in dimes(mostly customer)(skunk)
#5-Ordered half box($10 in cents.garda)(1 wheat, 3 Canadian)

1/11- Made 4 bank stops:
#1-Used penny arcade
#2-Box of dimes(brinks)(skunk)
Box of cents(brinks)(7 wheats including a 19S,39,44,51,(2)56,and 57)
Box of nickels(brinks)(1945P,1995 Canadian)
#3-$40 in nickels(mostly customer)(1938,1943S,1949D,1986 Canada)
#4-$40 in nickels(mostly garda)(2-1938)

1/12- Made 6 bank stops:
#1- teller produced $5.50 in halves and mentioned as he was bringing them over that they were from the 60s. He asked if that was good. I said Yes. He asked how much are they worth. I said more then the ones after 1970. I have to learn to keep my big mouth shut as this bank has always produced a few loose silvers. Anyway out of $5.50 there were 7-40%ers and a 1964.
#2- Bank had no halves
#3- used penny arcade
#4- my ordered box didn't come in yet
#5-$100 in dimes(garda,skunk)
#6-$100 in dimes(customer,skunk)

1/13-Made 4 bank stops:
#1-Used penny arcade,1958 dime in return
#2-box of halves(garda,skunk)
#3-box of halves(garda,skunk)
#4-Returned a bag of halves($500) and bought nickel box(1939 in fine, and a 1945P)

1/14- Made 6 bank stops:
#1-$5 in cents(garda,11 wheats oldest a 1916)
#2-Returned a bag of halves
#3-box of halves(garda,skunk)
#4-$10 in cents(garda,13 wheats including a 1924 and 1934)
#5-$20 in nickels(garda,a smooth buffalo and a 1989 canada)
#6-3 boxes of halves(garda)1st box had 4-40%,2nd was a skunk, and the 3rd had 2-40%) Also picked up $10 in customer rolled cents(6 wheats including a 1917)

1/15- Made at least 12 bank stops:
#1-$46 in halves(Customer rolled,2-40%)
#2-$1 in halves(skunk),$10 in cents(15 rolls garda had 5 wheats,2 canada and 5 customer rolls had no wheats)
#3-bank had no halves
#4-1 clad half, bought $10 in cents(garda) which appear to be all 2010)
#5-$15.50 in halves(skunk)
#6-$10 in cents(10 customer rolls had 4 wheats and 1 canada,10 garda rolls had 1 wheat and 2 canada)
#7-$10 in cents,all customer(6 common wheats,2 canada)
#8-Used penny arcade(nice handful of foreign from return)
#9-Returned 4 bags of halves and bought a nickel box(brinks) (1943P,1944P,1970 Confederatio coin,1987 Bermuda coin,1990 Cayman Islands coin)(brought in doughnuts)
#10-box of cents(brinks)(25 wheats including a 1911,11 canadians including a 1951,1962, and a clad dime)
#11-box of nickels(brinks)1945D
#12-box of dimes,(brinks)(2-64s)(1st silver dimes out of rolls in a couple months)
-box of cents(brinks)(17 wheats including 1929 and 1934)4 from the 40s, 11 from the 50s. Also brought in doughnuts as this branch has been very good to me.

Keeps you going. Yes! You are right.....Do not educate Bank tellers on silver halves. Stimulates their curiosity and they start asking questions and the next thing you know.....they start keeping all the loose silver coins that would have been in your pocket. Just my opinion.

I never use the word silver. I tell them that Iam looking for 1974 double dies. They think Iam out of my mind. One teller asked if i wanted some loose halfs, but she said they where 1960s.I said I would take them any way. She looked at me with a smile, that said sucker. I laughed all the way to the car.
