...I'm on day 3 now... ;D . Today started bright 'n early @ a late 1800s Victorian style house in the 'burbs. Backyard didn't yield much, just a rusty pocketknife and some clad. Front yard was much better. Got a '23s buffalo (my first s mint buff!! It's in great shape as well, though I had to scrub off almost all of the patina from the obverse to be able to read the date and see details :( ) , 3 wheats ('19, '35, '54d), an Ovaltine "Little Orphan Annie" good luck token (not pictured), and a handful of clad. After lunch, I returned to my secret spot (where I almost always pull something good), and found silver again!! 3 days in a row!! Yay!! Got a worn '45 Washington and some clad to wrap up the day.

Todays totals: '45 Washington; '23s buffalo; 3 wheats ('19, '35, '54d); Ovaltine "Little Orphan Annie" good luck token; small heart charm that says "Effanbee" on it (any info on this would be appreciated). Clad totaled ~ $4. A family member has a few more house leads in the 'burbs, so hopefully I'll have more goodies to show everyone later this week. As always, pics are below for your enjoyment!! :D Oops!! I forgot to mention the two old(er) Jeffersons I found @ the 1800s house ('38, '41). I'm glad the '38 didn't have a mint mark though, 'cause I nicked it on the reverse...oh well :tongue3: .

Paul,
Check this out http://dollreference.com/effanbee_dolls.html Doll manufacturer from early 1900's. Maybe this came off an effanbee doll? I just googled it.

Hi Jon. Quite possibly it did. I found it very deep, about 7 or 8 inches. It had a tiny portion of the last link in the chain still attached to it and still has traces of what I believe to be faux/imitation gold paint on it. Thanks for the link, lemme check it out.

Good luck today Paul, hope you make 5 or 6 in a row.

Thanks Rich. I won't be going out today. It's too late already, and I have several errands to run. I will be back at it tomorrow!!
