Horrible week so far everyone.. Two of my banks "forgot" my orders and on top of that I went to a branch that I visit every week to get CWR halves.. The guy was always very friendly and said he would put them aside for me every week.. Well today I went in and saw on his tray a whole stack of halves with a walker on top.. It looked like there were 3 silvers in the pile.. When I told him I wanted to purchase the halves that he "put aside" for me he took the whole stack, hid his hands behind the desk, and removed the silver halves from the pile.. I have scored multiple 40%s from this guy before, so I am assuming he doesn't know about them and I obviously didn't wanna cause a fuss about the situation, since he still gives me those.. It was really frustrating, because I visit this bank after I pick up my orders every week.. So with the "forgotten orders" and this dude pulling a fast one on me for months now, I am in a bad mood.. :BangHead: Oh well.. I hope everyone else is having a better week than I am so far.. Hopefully I hit a big box.. HH everyone

Good for nothing tattle tellers, he did a quick Google search on his icrack and realized what he was giving away for free was a ton of moolah, heck i dont blame tellers sometimes, some are clad lovers others are shiny coin lovers, then when they forgeting orders, thats no excuse! I feel for ya homie.

Too bad. If you didn't educate him, he may have looked around on the web trying to figure out why you ask for halves. I have to think that this hobby was more productive before the web so effectively spread the word (although I'm not sure I would of picked up the hobby but for the web!).

Thats pretty shady id be mad too. I dont get why would he knowingly have 90%ers in the tray if he's probably been keeping those. And at that point when you asked for them even if he planned on keeping them shoulda chalked it up as a loss for being dumb n leaving them out for customers to see, instead of waiting for a customer to ask for them n picking them out then.

You shoulda been like i actually only wanted those ones u just plucked out. But this dumb dumb is still getting you 40%ers so may be better in the long run to not say anything

Id'a offered him $10 right on the spot for the coins he pulled out

Do this. When you find tellers that keep the silver for themselves, you can sometimes purchase them from the teller at a good/great price. Not always, but it never hurts to ask.

WRONG, they think they are coins worth a million dollars, if you offer $10 for a walker, he has no idea what it may potentially be worth cause he is a stupid tella, do you think he is gonna fall for that in his mind? For all the more these tellas know, its worth $100 to them.

That is probably what I am going to do now that I know he is sniping them.. I guess I was mad just because he left them out in the open and then pulled them when I asked for the halves.. He could have put them aside much earlier, instead of trying to sneak them behind the desk when I saw them already.. I just thought It was a little rude, especially since he said to me "I will make sure I put all my half dollars I get aside for you." He knew exactly what he was doing.. I never asked him to put halves aside for me, he volunteered to do it.. At least he doesn't know about 40%s I will take those..

Offer a really fair price first. A teller got an ASE in circulated shape and I offered her $30 after she said pawn shops wanted only half that. She was happy, I was happy, I built a relationship. Now she knows I buy, and I will pay a fair price. You don't always have to offer the best price, but at least fair. Show your good intentions.

But the moment you articulate the value of silver to these tella's they are gonna know what 40%'rs are!

Dawg half dollar boxes are dry anyways at least you don't have to spend gas on dumping em!

Definitely. Secret shhh. I don't ever mention the 40's. 40's are for us homies.

I know, but I never get many from this guy anyway.. I just assumed that since I was finding 40%s from him, he had no clue or didn't really care about silver.. Maybe he has been doing this the entire time or like others have said, maybe he just went online and started sniping them himself recently.. I will keep checking with him for a few months and If i don't make any finds will assume that he knows about 40%s now too.. Oh well.. Watcha gonna do.. :dontknow:
