Interesting day today with a Sacagawea dollar, an old lead carp fishing weight, an earring, and an as of yet unidentified copper object on the left. But the coolest find was ceramic plate pressed flat against an old tree. When the plate was peeled back, a bunch of old pennies dating from 1953 (wheat penny) to 1976 were revealed. Someone placed them there about 40 years ago as some sort of offering to the tree. Anyone have a clue what the copper object on the left is and anyone ever heard of this offering of coins on a plate to a tree? Always something new, which is one reason I love this hobby.

I believe that is its proper name. If you keep it, I suggest boiling it because it may contain resin which would constitute it as drug paraphernalia.

Batties are everywhere..!!

You can boil it, if you plan on tossing your pot...However, the best way to clean it is with Simple Green...don't ask how I know this..8-)
