I got permission to hunt about 700 acre's of land about 20 miles from here and when I went out there I was wondering if it was going to be worth it. as you can see by my finds it was a very productive day, this is the third standing liberty quarter I've found and I've found all three withing 1 1/2 year span. Originally I was going to hunt a hayfield where there was once an old cabin, built in the middle 1800's and as I was rooting around in the field with my 4x6dd on my MXT the owner drove up and said I ought to detect the old farm house at the end of the road, so I went for it and am glad I did. He had to go down there and feed his daughter's horse, nobody lives there except the horse. Before I really got detecting he pointed out some spots that would be good for detecting where there use to be old farm houses. I'm gonna hit that hay field heavy in the spring when the ground is really moist, there are 4 different old house spots on the one field(it's a very big field).
