Hilarious! Several things to note here:

- If you go to the actual YouTube page where that video was posted by ‘The Space Wind’ it says: “How this was made. Altered or synthetic content. Sound or visuals were significantly edited or digitally generated”

- Although there is plenty of footage of the Nevada desert in the video, the object and the Nevada landscape are not shown together in the same view. The object is only shown in an expanse of blue sky that has no geographic features.

- The very same pictures of the object (not just the same object, but the same pictures of it) are all over TikTok, Facebook, and Reddit but often claiming different locations. Other common locations are given as Germany (as in this post) and sometimes the Philippines:

- The narrative has been widely dismissed as a hoax.

- Although the object has not been reliably identified (and the images may well have been altered), objects of a similar nature have previously been reported from other locations, such as a over a U.S. military operations base in Iraq.

I have no idea if it's correct or not, but this is what Ai says about the picture:

A 1940 Taylorcraft BL-65, which Jacob abandoned mid-flight while claiming engine failure.

The Object: A GoPro camera setup that had been mounted to the exterior of the plane to film the "crash."

The Landscape: The Los Padres National Forest in Santa Barbara County, California.

Background Context:
The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and federal investigators later determined that the crash was staged [to get YouTube views]. Trevor Jacob eventually pleaded guilty to one count of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation after he disposed of the wreckage. He was sentenced to six months in federal prison.
