I hit my favorite relic spot last weekend with my brother and a visiting friend for my bi-yearly western hunt. 2 small children keep me busy in other ways these days

. Hunting way off the beaten path has its advantages. I uncovered a small burn pit that yielded a good number of eagle buttons and insignia. Several firsts surfaced including the "B" "D" and half a Hardee pin. My favorite finds are buttons and head gear and these made my day. The Bormann fuses were also a first. If you appreciate glass as much as I do you will realize the significance of the Hospital shards and the Drakes. Someday I hope to uncover a complete example. I attached a few more pics in the post. You will be able to tell which regiments were there, by the numbers, buttons, and letters you dug... But, I believe either a lot of soldiers died in that area, or a nice size camp was there, and you only hit on one section, and there should be a lot more. Too much stuff to be just a few men around. WGT... Awesome finds, you have a lot of history there. :thumbsup:

Very awesome relic hunt indeed! These are some relics I like seeing posted especially out here in the west!! Congrats on another successful outing Evan!!! I hope you get into some cool whole western bottles soon!!!!

I miss all the Western posts Larry. There are some amazing relic hunters out here, but for valid reasons they dont share finds anymore. I have had the pleasure to hunt with a few and there skills are highly impressive. Good luck on your next hunt.
