They spent their silver on beer?

Hey all,

Went out with my hunting partner to a local bar for a few drinks. :tongue3:

We got their and my ID is kinda old and dirty I need to renew it this year. So the doorman almost refused my ID, but I showed him the stamp of the other bar we were at and after some convincing he lets me in and I order a drink. :occasion14:

The bar tender gives me my change and I see a quarter that's kinda dirty and I think that's going to be silver. :icon_cheers:

I grab it with my other hand and can feel that lighter thinner feel of silver. I look at the date and it says 1945 !! Woot, My first silver in change came from a bar!! :occasion14:

I think some drunk needed a drink but had no money so he/she dipped in their silver jar for a fix. I show my hunting partner and he's like no freeking way!! :evil6:

I asked the bar tender for 2 dollars in quarters, then i traded those for 8 more quarters but no more silver. :dontknow:

Keep in mind the ground here is still frozen so we have the metal detecting Jones bad. Finding this was awesome, Here are some pics. :headbang:

My wife bar tends and you would not believe the silver coins and silver certificates I get from her tip jar. Kinda makes me want to go to bar, just to look for silver :thumbsup:
