Went to a OLD forgotten School house site today.

Met this guy last week. He is going to be a GREAT detectorists.!!! Here are some finds we got today for about a hour of Detecting. We only had about an hour. I got the silver quarter. He (Bob) got the badge. We shared on the seems like trash

I forgot to add Bob was a retired Police chief !!! He is EXTREMELY HAPPY !!!

Bob found the Badge. He retired from being a Chief of Police 2 years ago.He was the chief for 24 years

Any idea of the age of that badge? It looks old. I dug a police chief's badge from the 1960-70s from Parrott Georgia a few years ago.

We are not sure yet what type it is. Maybe a toy !

I don't know enough to say that it is a real badge or a toy. I do believe that the old police badges especially in rural areas weren't too fancy like today's badges are but, were rather plain looking. Either way it's a cool find!

BTW - Tell Bob that I said "Thank you" for his service in Law Enforcement. I did 26 years myself.

Could it have been for handing informal deputies? As in not wearing but to have if interrogated too much.

Snap hook for a lead.

And what might half of the holder for a tractor clutch bearing . Or not! Or some other clutch. Or not.
This one goes inside the transmission tube/hollow part of the tractor on a Farmall Cub between seat and engine and hangs on a bracket of sorts.. It wouldn't fall out of somehow broken. Though there is a round cover under it that is removed for inspection.
Insert should be soaked in oil then greased before installing.
The pictured one is broken already. Clutch finger adjustments off , or some other cause of chipping it.
