The artwork places it in the 18 century IMO.

Excellent patriotic find - perfect for the American Independance Day!

No idea what it is as that motif was put on everything... I hope you find out.

Looks like a drawer pull went in the holes. So a drawer pull plate.(maybe)

Im not sure what it is, richm, and Im no expert for sure, but it looks like a late 1700's eagle ...I bet it has 13 stars.

Looks like the spacing would match 13, if it were not broken.

Did they make 18th C patriotic furniture, as this is my best guess. Maybe a Rev War Campaign piece???

I can count the stars, there are 13. Does that definitely make it 18th century?? Rich.
