Thinking of upgrading from the Ace 250. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking that it's time to upgrade from the ACE 250, which is a great "starter unit". Now that I'm sure that I love this hobby as much as I thought I would, I think I would like to get a detector that has a little more depth and some more features. Any thoughts of what might be considered a good upgrade from an ACE 250? I think that weight and ease of use are big factors for me. Appreciate any advice.

Fisher CZ-3D. A little heavy,but you get use to it or can be hip mounted.

For light weight and depth, Tesoro has many great detectors that are easy to use. Minelab's Sov GT. has many followers, myself included when hunting land. But I love the water and the beaches the most so my water detectors are different critters altogether.

I like the Deleon and Cortes.

I LOVE the Exterra Series. IF you choose on of those go to the Exterra-70. For the same price you could pick up an Explorer but they are heavy!!

The Exterra-70 woudl be the way to go in my opinion.

Thanks for your replies. I plan on finishing up the season with the 250 and will do some research on different detectors during the off time. I'm definitely not into water detecting (there's not too much water here in VT), but there are lots of old homesites that I'm dying to get into. I think that the machine I'm using now is a little underpowered for what I'd like to find. I'll keep you posted when I figure it out.
