Metal Detecting
I was driving home after scouting out an old farm site when I decided to stop at a little park I'd never been to before. I didn't think the park was that old, but I really wanted to try out my AT Pro that I had Garrett fix over the winter. My first two digs resulted in a piece of a pop can, and a 1997 dime. I was walking along the perimeter of the melted ice rink when all of the sudden my detector screamed at me. I look down at the screen and it's showing 92-93 VDI at only 2 inches. I figured it was probably a ring or some kind of jewelry. I dig my plug, and out pops a very worn 1918 D Walking Liberty Half. At first I thought it must be fake since the park wasn't that old, but sure enough it was real. I guess you never know where you're gonna find silver. Not a bad way to start the season.

Awesome find. It seems to me that you always find what you didn't expect to find when you started your hunt. Great walker.
