This Cone Thing" Was Found Same Day / Same Field As My Frst Point ..What Is It?

In the very same field I found my first point I also found this cone thing. I see many 'What Is It' & Is 'This Stone An Artifact ? ' posts

I've post one or two of those myself and here is another one.

Its not made of stone , it looks and feels like baked clay and is pretty smooth.

Ok I'm ready for the laughter !!
What could it be ?? :icon_scratch:

Everyone have a Great Finds weekend

Derek

Hi Derek, I'm sure nobody will laugh hon, we've seen worse. ::) Looks unusual to say the least. Doesn't look natural, lets see what the Stone experts say. Pick up everything that looks to be something, better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck hunting, look forward to seeing more of your posts..

Molly.

I would think it is made of Native pottery. I cannot remember what the tool is called but, i believe it was used in the construction of pottery vessels. Neat find. Oddly I have a well used stone pestle that I found in a creek that looks very similar. Maybe someone who knows what I am trying to say can weigh in.

pottery trowel?

If it is made from Pottery then it is more than likely a Pottery Trowel, a very rare find indeed, especially in almost completely intact condition.

Congrats!!!!

I'd kind of like to see the bottom of it. Is it dimpled?
