again Cool !
I'm always interested in gold, But live in the wrong state,
for raw gold on almost any type of scale.
pure luck & perfect eyesight needed here
to even see a flake in a pan.:laughing7:
allot of Fools gold (Pyrite).

I used to be able to walk out in my Ally & pick a handfull of Quartz & other rock,
with veins of
fools Gold in it at any given time.
Haven't looked for years

the ring is a Find. 8-)

I can't really tell from the pics but I do own some gold in quartz and various pyrite in quartz.. From what I see it looks like iron pyrite in quartz. Is there any rainbow coloring in or around the yellow? Does the yellow color change to dark when tilting the piece at various angles in light or does it stay yellow? If you scrape at it does it bReak apart or scratch/dent without breaking? These are a few things you can do to test..
