This is crazy! Another cartwheel!!

Went for a quick hunt yesterday and was off to a decent start. Got a nice OLD brass doorknob at 8", a 1937 canadian penny, and my last target worth digging was yet ANOTHER 1797 Cartwheel Penny! That is three Cartwheels in two totally different sites, in two different towns. It's pretty toasted, but hey, it's still pretty cool. Thanks for looking and HH

I don't know what I would do if I saw a copper coin that large lying in the dirt. I would probably say "Holy " and then swing from a tree branch like those guys from the show "Diggers". Because there's only one thing better than a large copper..... and that is, of course, a even larger copper.

I love finding cartwheel pennies and twopences here in the UK. The popular story of them in England is that they were made that big because King George 3rd (Who was as mad as a fish, and is still known as the King who lost America!!) insisted that British coins had to be bigger than everyone else's because Britannia was the biggest Empire in the world.
