Excuse my ignorance, as I am only on this site for stuff related to metal detecting.. but now I'm curious: how does one get these from the bank? Do you just ask the teller if they have any half rolls?

Correct, just ask the teller. But you'd like full rolls not half ​rolls.

The best is to ask for CWR's unless someone is using it as a dump bank that is your best shot,

You really need to ask the bank to order boxes of halves as I have never seen a bank that keeps MWR's in stock. the are $500 per box, and banks won't order them unless you have an account and even then many banks won't order them for you

The details of this day will be a memory you will often look back at with fondness. I love recalling the memories of the best hunts I've had just as much as the coins themselves.

I got 3 rolls in those same wrappers Friday------all CLAD

And I bought 20 rolls in those same wrappers Friday - all clad. Way to kill it and drag it back to the cave Silveraddict!
