This mornings hunt with new excal

Well you all know Im' sucker for a good deal ..This time got one . I got a great deaL on a NEVER USED excal 1000. I used it this morning and I did a lot less digging and had a more productive hunt ... I did not find any gold ,, were sanded in again here and the water was really rough , so I stayed up in the wet sand , Got a lot of clad this morning and Nice car for Ryan....... GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

I decided to get another one .. I could not pass this deal up . I will have to say I do a lot less digging , and at my age , thats a bonus . I know I'm gonna have to eat a little crow here but , Oh well. The excal worked flawlessly :thumbsup:

Yea, well, were'nt you the one that convinced me to get the Excal2?
If I remember correctly, "Ohh, Ohh, get an Excal2 Ralphie, you need an Excal2"
So I got one and then find out that you use a Radio Shack mine detector.

No crow eating required.....You just figured out that it was your detector that was cursed and you replaced it. Sounds very logical to me!

Gary I use an Excal 1000. You have to pay attention to the lower sounds. Those are usually nickles or gold. The real fog horn sounds are almost always bottle caps. They are super detectors. You will love it . :thumbsup:

Allright Guzz. I believe you have tried everything but the Infinium. I will ship you mine for a week just to complete the tour!!!!

Coming down to your general area this weekend. Haven't decided yet where. I have two sons and two grand kids in Naples so I may go on down there to visit and hunt also. Hide the women, children and gold. Nothing is safe.

,,, This is the second excal for me .I will say I dig less junk with this detector ,, the bottle caps here drive me nuts ,,, with the excal you bypass those real low Bass tones that the caps give off .... Hey you have a safe trip this weekend and enjoy your family.. Gary AKA guzz

An excal sometimes really makes a difference. I haven't dug any iron, bobby pins, sparkler wires, etc. It makes a difference.

Just like you I have tried several different machines. All have their positive points, but like you said you dig less and yet find more goodies.

I guess it depends on the area and how far the bottle caps are buried, but most of the time a bottle cap will cancel itself out. You may here it on the first swing and when you try to pinpoint the signal disappears. At least that has been my experience....also, it depends on the material. The other day I dug one but continued to get a signal, it was a quarter that was really giving the signal not the bottle cap.

I hope to see you post some goodies soon. It makes me more desperate to get home to get out and hunt....one month to go.

congrats... I tell people all the time that I love metal detecting but collecting metal detectors is my real hobby because I just can't pass upo a good deal either. Thank God I am down to only 2 I keep here the gt and the excal. I sold 2 others, and 3 farmed out to my dad.

Can't wait until you find gold with this one

Some Folks Collect Cars ,,,I metal detectors. I think Glenn gets the Grand prize for being accurate on the detector count and he can even tell ya what brands I'v had
