found this piece of glass near the last item i listed. any clues what it may have been other than a jar or it's use..thanks

I believe it is a glass fruit jar lid. There were many, many different types of closure patents.

Good call on the jar lid and pic of same :icon_thumright: You knew what is was right off the bat. I had to study the text on the glass piece :D
