I found this in my father's estate so no clue what it is or composition. It is 25mm and weighs 9.2 grams. Appears to have two different faces one looking like Abraham Lincoln I believe. It has a hole with a piece of metal jammed in it. Edge is not reeded.

Anyone recognize this?

Yes, it’s a commemorative/tribute medallion produced by the US Mint in 1882, after the assassination of President James A. Garfield the previous year. Abe on one side and Garfield on the other. They were produced in both gold and silver, in both 25mm and 19mm diameter. Many of them were holed for use as watch fobs. Yours seems to have been holed and then plugged for some reason.

Note however that contemporary copies of these also seem to exist. I’ve seen one in copper, which, as far as I know, wasn’t officially produced by the mint.
