I have collected a few shots and will add to them as I find them
Some people doubt that this is a desert where I live simply because of all the greenery.
If we didn't live between two rivers and pull water for irrigation from them this place would look like the badlands.
I live about 6 miles from this monument,
This is the one that was used for the old Lincoln Mercury comercial years ago
it is called Independence cap

It sure looks different form Sweden here you mostly see forests and more forests. :(

Its absolutely breathtaking Old Dog! What a beautiful place to wake up to everyday!

That is absolutly beautiful ! What a view to have everyday!

Good morning everyone,

I keep telling people I believe this is where God comes to take some quiet time.

Iagree, one of the most beautiful places on earth.
I could never leave for very long.
I will post more pictures today.

Absolutely gorgeous and very similar to the landscape around here too! I guess I best get some pics posted like I promised ya! ;)

Here is a picture of a place that came as a total surprise to me.
I found this canyon while chasing one of my illusive Spanish trails.
This place took my breath completely away.

There are no roads or visible trails into or out of this place.
You see it as pristine as I did.
Sorry, no location listed.
This one is mine.

Wanda,

That is one of the reasons I could never stay away for too long.

Looking the other way...

No doubt! Could kick back with a freeloader and stare for hours! ;)

Tom,

I can't think of a single place on earth that I have seen that offers more for the soul.

On another side, if the view doesn't take your breath away...
The heat will.

LOL

Cyndi,
My main worry for that little one right now is pulling the cactus out of her feet.
I think the better part of valor is to let her get a bit larger before I take her out.
