even in the condition its in it should bring between 60- 100 bucks, so yep, case knives are great..lol
is the case xx the only marks on it? are there any dots on the other side? they used a series of dots for the year production in the 70's i think

I love a serendipitous find like this. Good on ya, mate!

In general, knives by good quality manufacturers (like Case, Buck, Cold Steel, etc.) are very collectable. Case knives in particular seem to have a huge following and they produce knives for the sole purpose of serving the collector market. A year or so ago, I bought a set of limited edition Case knives at an estate auction. I think I paid around $300 for them. I sold them a few weeks later for over $600.

I've sold a few old Case XX knives in the past myself. As mentioned by Tallone, any quality made knife will hold some value in the collectibles market, especially the vintage ones.
