I thought this piece was really cool and wanted to show everyone on here. My friend found this early Archaic period knife that is from 8000 to 6000 BC. On the shore line of the Saginaw Bay 40 years ago. He thought it was fake but the experts on the Indian Artifact Forum confirmed its real. I was happy just to hold it.

Looks like a spear point.

Anne it would of had a piece of wood with a slot cut in it and bound with leather around the corner notches. This point is called an archaic bevel or Thebes. Spear points are thinner and longer. This point is two and half inches long and an inch and a half wide. They said it would of a lot bigger but it had been napped to resharpen it.
