Here are some of my finds from the last two weekends. Three coin spills resulted in 4 silvers for me. The first was a 1917 mercury dime stuck to a 1915 wheat ear. The next was 1941 and 52 Washington Quarters found a foot apart. Then I got 1945 mercury in the same hole with three wheats. I had been on a silver drought, so hopefully that’s history. I also got two more IHPs and I’m up to 30 FTY. My brother found the 1873 or 78 IHP.

Here are the IHPs. The really rough one and the slick one with the black patina were found under the same tree. Go figure.

Got a CW era Infantry cuff button

Got a suspender clip with a Nov 5, 1874 patent date.

Looks like it was a great day all around for coins and relics Steve. Glad you broke your drought, now can you send some of your karma my way ? I haven't found a silver in over a month, and I've hunted a few old yards in that time.

Thanks. I hadn't found a silver coin since April until this recent silver storm ended the drought :laughing7:

Hey now FireBoy, I haven't see you posting anything lately :laughing7:
Seriously, I posted a 1785 Connecticut copper a couple weeks ago, but I'll take whatever I can get :laughing7:

Nice finds , Steve. Four silvers are always welcome. That Eagle I cuff button is cool. I found one exactly like it a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks. Mine has a W. G. Mintzer Phila. backmark

I love the gleam of silver when you dig the hole and guess it's a penny etc. Always a welcome thing to see!
When I scanned over the two silver quarters side by side, I knew I had a couple of quarters waiting to be dug. I also knew they were fairly deep, and had a good chance of being silver. When the first one was a silver 1941, I knew the second would be silver too. Between my brother and I we dug about 10 clad quarters out of this place.

Silver is always good, and even better in coin spills. Nice Hunt! :icon_thumright:

Great job!! Never sneeze at silver and that is a sweet button:icon_thumleft:
