still working on the shield but got a 2 center and both year flying eagles in one day not a bad day tho congrats

Hey Grant, thanks for looking, to answer your question, it's a cow pasture. But it's a cow pasture behind a house that was built in 1860, and in the middle of it was another house, now gone, that was built in 1830, and at the other end of the pasture is a house that was built in 1789, so the property has seen a lot of activity, including a tannery across the street from it. And the dates make sense since I also have found an 1828 large cent and last week an 1874 seated dime. Can't wait for a little rain to moisten the dirt and see what else this pasture will give up.

Sounds like an ideal spot. I hear you about the rain... Ground has been dry! Hard not to make messy plugs.
