I thought I would post a display that I restored. Most of these points were found by my grandfather and father. My grandfather originally put the frame together. It got pretty ragged (sp?) so I restored it and added the points that I have found as well. I wish they were alive to see it. All these points were found in Chester County Pa. Delaware Indians, Leni Lenape. The scraper is my best find to date.

Great amount of work there!

A beautiful collection, and from 3 generations a great amount of pride.

Thanks for showing us!

That is so awesome. My parents have not passed yet, but when they do, I think having the points they found will stir memories and give me a tangible connection with them. Thanks for sharing your display--it's beautiful.

Thanks for all the kind words. It was fun putting it together. I dyed all the string in tea before I used it. Tried to make it look aged. The center point is actually not totally authentic. My grandfather was a stone carver, and when he couldn't find a suitable center point he made one :) Kind of neat in a way. He also carved these two pieces.

Awesome frame of points - beautifully displayed!

Did any of those artifacts come from the famous cornfield at Church Farm School, on Swedesford Road, accross from the West Whiteland Township baseball diamond? That field produced great material (late Paleo to late Woodland) for generations of collectors, and its artifacts graced many collections. Unfortunately, the CFS field was sold several years ago to a regional developer, and since has been totally obliterated by a housing development.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Artorius, yes a few did come from that field. That was a great spot to hunt, went there many times with my father many years ago. Almost all the fields these came from are long gone to the developers.

From my research, the Trimble Mine is also in that area. I have been dying to find it for minerals. I actually know an ancestor of Gen. Trimble and he was going to look for the old family documents. I need to check back with him.
