this stuff is what we found on thursday
the mandans had a fair amount of good lithic material...
here is what i believe to be some different colors of jasper, white petrified wood (or maybe agatized wood), quartzite and light and dark knife river flint
also here is a fishing wieght on left
the piece on the upper left puzzles me.....game piece?.......some kind of tool?.....it is made from a section of elk rib i believe?
on top 2nd from left is a scarce find to get an arrow point made from rainy buttes silicified wood (RBSW) which is found in the badlands at the extreme SW corner of north dakota
the bird bone bead with the striations carved on it has got to be the tiniest bead i think i ever found
