Tied my record for silver today at the Iceberg

[Nate in Ohio]

Hey all! As Dan mentioned, we surprisingly had a very successful day today at the Berg. I was expecting to be content if I found only one silver, but I actually tied my record of 10. We sort of concentrated on an area that we haven't hit much in the past, and underestimated what it held. It was very tough hunting at times with all the tall weeds and thick bushes, but putting up with it paid off for everyone. The wheats/memorials are obviously left out of the pics for the contest (good luck to all by the way 8))

Better shot of the 1919 buff:

Interesting and/or old:

It's either a 1929 or 1919...it looks like a 29

This was not found at the Berg, but I got it around here recently:

Thanks for lookin guys, HH!

Holy cow Nate. Fantastic day for you. That's a LOT of silver you got there.
Great looking cross too.
I'm putting you in my top 10 favorites in Kirk's "All Star" post.
Congrats,
MM

Nice finds! Wouldn't a 29 SLQ have a recessed date?

That is one incredible site! It's simply mind boggling that one place has had so many coins. How long have you guys been hunting it and approximately how many coins have you recovered?

That's what I thought too! But I just can't look at it without seeing a 2 rather than a 1. I mean, there's decent detail on the coin for having such a worn date.

Thanks guys.

Fantastic finds Nate- --That is one heck of a day.

P. S. How do I get to that place called the Iceberg?

[Mirage]

Nate you forgot to add the details of how your recovered that one bottle cap - digging on your stomach, scratching and clawing under a bush!

I'll say!
He was a silver magnet today. That new area def. warrants more attention (and a brush hog or mower wouldn't hurt either lol)
WTG Nate!

[James in Alabama]

Great job guys. I'm guessing (hoping) my estimate was way low. Looks like a great time.

I've been thinking of asking the local VFW if I can detect there overgrown baseball fields. I'm also planning to ask long they have been there!
