sorry I mean fortune Hunter lol

i think the Fortune Hunter is the "lone star" my first detector was the "discovery 2000" also the "lone star" model.
as far as how well do they work. in my experience i have been able to come along right behind a person with a way more expensive machine and dig up items that the person with the more pricey detectors wish they had found. it would be nice if it had a depth readout and a few other bells and whistles. but for the price and how well they work it's a great machine.

The time ranger used to be bounty hunters top machine costing around $800.00 when it first came out.I been looking for one on fee bay.

my son just bought one (new) online for 175.00 he s here on the site ,,,jonesyson

That's a good deal, my quickdraw 2 was $200.00 with half the features the time ranger has.
