Timekiller's on a Roll (And I'm Not Cobbin' Around) O' But I Am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right Tneters,Number 2 for me today and only took two hours to do it. I debated with myself on to go or not today as it was raining,blowing,and plain out nasty again.But what else is new for here this fall seems like everyday.No end in sight just a break or two here and there.But once again I through caution to the wind got myself worked up and headed to the river.Were the waves were pounding hard.This site is a old stand by I keep up my sleeve just for these times and before it started to rain to hard I was able to find this baby! I'm not sure what it is yet have not had time to look but will in just a few to see if I can figure it out.

Really nice Pete! Boy, I'll bet some of those oddballs have been tossed in the scrap once or twice thinking they're something else. Hey, my today's finds look like the rest of that stuff in that tray! I must be getting hot!

My first Spanish silver was a 1719 4 reales coin...I almost discarded it thinking it was a milk bottle lid because it was thinner than a regular coin. Anymore , I keep everything and clean it before discarding it...just in case. I recently found a silver buckle and almost discarded it as a piece of aluminum pot or something. Always check your finds...WTG on the cob ...I hope I can find one next time I'm down your way.

I only found a 1700s jews harp and a dropped musketball. Kirk and Chris found absolutely nothing. The site we hunted was a last resort permission, so we weren't too confident with it. Also, we got the "NO" reply for 2 sites that would have produced some nice early coppers. It was an overall terrible hunt. The finds were slim to none and the landowners were just not interested in letting us hunt their land today.

Man that 's not good, sorry buddy. But tell you the truth I wasn't thinking I'd find nothing either as it was not suppose to rain all day.So I sat here tell about 10:30am fighting with myself on to go or not.I finaly told my self do it drove all the way to this place got out in the screaming wind and misty rain and messed around for about 1hr and 45min as the rain was geting harder I was about to quit when I found this baby.I still quit had enough of it and was getting cold.After I found this one I figured That was good enough for me today. Your'll have better luck next time don't seem like it could get much worse for you.Hang in there Buddy!

I wasn't lost, and the Colonial goods were not found. I dug many old targets but every last thing that came out of the hole was just old junk. New plan for next time!

As you can see I have that place there cleaned up purdy good. It just happened to be by a stump that was washing out of the bank.Probably miss by not being able to put the coil up in it till now.

Our sites never last more than two hunts and it takes a good one to go that long. There's always a few left around but it's better we move on than to waste our time and get back for the third dig after the plugh. So with that said it will be a new spot next time.

Ironhorse is taking off for a bit at the end of the month so I figure that will pretty much be the end of the digs... so maybe a couple more chances to put something on the board. Our weather has been great but I see the cold rollin in very soon.

Snow or frost has not even been a question yet. Well above freezing, very nice the days we were out.
