I dug this up at site that that has pre-civil war building ruins in southern Wisconsin. Historical records indicate one of the inhabitants had stage horses, and it is on a main north-south route. The place is riddled with iron, I've pulled about 1000 square nails from the area near the old house, and I'm using a Fisher F19. It was found on a hill about 100' from the old building, only a few inches down and is about 3/8" in diameter. Seems to be lead or pewter and is likely silver plated. No markings, numbers, letters of any kind. Since it is roughly spherical, I posted a collage so you can see all sides. Any idea what this might be from? I originally thought "charm bracelet", but there are no holes or hooks.
Thanks for any hints that you might be able to provide.
