TJ Beale, the actual treasure location Challenge

I've looked into the Belae Ciphers.
It is a difficult if not impossible task to say the least of to decode these.
I know some of you all may have spent years working on this.

I've read the story, did a small amount of research and concluded the ciphers were more than my little peabrain could handle.
So, I decide to put my Sherlock Holmes hat on and use deductive reasoning based on the story as it has been told.
here is where I think the treasure is. The red dot.

As some of you may know. Laura, my ex-wife has been experimenting with remote dowsing.
She has determined a different area.


the rough area she dowsed.

I have to admit, her area makes more logical sense than mine.
Mine is based on distance and ability to travel in a day from the hotel.

The Challenge

Guess, Dowse, Remote View, Solve the Cipher.
Any way you want.

At the risk of being boring I do not believe the treasure exists nor do i think the Ciphers have a "true" solution.
It is possible that the ciphers have a valid cryptologic solution and that is the game thats worth the candle, for me at least.

Apart from travel time, which parts of the Beale story did you use to arrive at your treasure location ?
I think there are 3 mentions of "Buford's".

1.) It was finally decided that is should be sent to Virginia under my charge,
and securely buried in a cave near Buford's tavern, in the county of Bedford, which all of us had visited,

2.) Stopping at Buford's, where we remained for a month, [...] we visited the cave,
and found it unfit for our purpose. [...] We soon selected a better place,
and to this the treasure was safely transferred.

3.) I have deposited, in the county of Bedford, about four miles from Buford's.

I am on both sides of the fence.
I have a hard time believing, 30 young men, went out west, during the height of the Virgina, Carolina and Georgia Gold rush to hunt Buffalo.
Something that wasn't in style until after the continental railroad went through. They Found Gold and sent it back east. It doesn't pass the mustard test to me.

I have an even harder time believing someone made the whole story up to sell a few books.
I've published books. Very, very few Authors make any real money.
It is an extremely elaborate story, with the ciphers and all.
Unbreakable Ciphers.

Pure logic, no way it exists.
But my pure logic has failed me on far more than one occasion.

If it does exist, then it would be no more than a day's ride from where Beale was staying.
"The infamous "Buford's Tavern" is two or more days away. Would you hide a bunch of gold then travel two plus days to hang out for months?

My logic is based on word "Buford", there were three listed on time period maps.
Plus, other ??ford's on time period maps.

I figured with thousands of people over the years, who have tried to solve the mystery, making an educated guess, based on my simplistic logic is just as good.
