Hog lard rendering kettle used to have a purpose built wood stove that the kettle set on the render hog fat down to lard for cooking soap making. Most had lugs so the kettle could be tipped to empty them but many that had the stove and were larger did not.
Chris only 12 hogs on the farm currently
