To Infinity and Beyond...

Picked up this set of Infinity Crescendo 3007 speakers, Playstion and Sony DSC-S70 for $10. The bad news is the foam around the woofers has deteriorated. I'm not sure whether to part them out or refoam them. The emit-r tweeters seem to do well on their own, then again, I found foam kits (set of 2)for $8 each. I would need 2 of them.

If they were mine and I didn't already own a pair of Ditton 66's, I'd refoam them and keep them. Are you sure that's all they need? It cost me a couple hundred to get mine going again. Had to get crossovers rebuilt, replaced a tweeter etc.

PS- Speaking of tweeters, you know you can get a couple hundred for those EMIT-R's don't ya?

edit- never mind, I see you already mentioned the tweeters.

Yeah, pretty sure. The guy said he was still using them without bass for front speakers in his surround system. I saw Infinity and saw $$$$. I asked about them, he said $20 and told me what was wrong with them. I was the last person at that sale and his wife wanted those speakers gone. I ended up getting everything for $10, so I can't imagine the guy would lie about basically free speakers. He even carried those heavy bastids to my car
