Had a great day out with Skunemonk (Jeff) again today. Yesterday we got crushed by rain and my waterlogged Bounty Hunter died later in the day (though I got two silvers in one hole). Got it working again overnight and today we got out to the old horse race track that operated between 1911 and 1927. This place has a lot of thick brush and has been well hunted, but we found some areas next to the track normally not accessible that we were able to crawl and stoop into to get the detectors on the ground. It was pretty tough going, but it paid off. We were out there 8 hours today and I got two Mercs, 1918 and 1941...and 1913 Barber Dime...Standing Lib quarter no date and a 1953 Rosie. Got three Indians that I haven't gotten dates off yet, but should get at least one. A few wheaties as well. I know I should post photos, but I have work I should have done all day if I hadn't been detecting, that I'm trying catch up on, so I'll post when I can. Also got two buckles and wet feet for the second day (though it didn't rain here in NY, much nicer today).
