You had a great walk today, nothing like beach combing for a nice hike!

Yup it was a good long walk.

Nice assortment you found. Do you think the tools are preforms or scrapers of sort. I have found those here before. You got a good point.

Thanks rock. The milky white one is a knife. The others I call performs or crude tools because of the rough flaking. The knife has edge work to it.

I found a orange quartz with white in it last week. Its either a knife or a preform IDK for sure. The edge work is a wavy flaking look. A real nice study piece.

Large wavy edge and a little thicker is usually a preform. The tighter wavy edges with a thinner profile is usually a knife. In my opinion they probably both ended up as points.

Yeah probably preform. One side has a medium ridge on it and the other side has a stack rite in the middle of it. Probably threw it down when they hit the stack section.

I don't know. I sometimes find crude preformed with stacks that were discarded but I've also found fully finished points with stacks. Quartz has a tendency of doing that. We call em turtle backs.

Yeah I found a finished knife with a stack on one side. But its chert, first one I have ever found.

Nice Ben good seeing you get out. I always enjoy finding the lures also. Nice insitu and that stemmer would have been a dandy

Yeah that busted stemmed is well made. I was supposed to be working for that farmer today in PA. He backed out last night said he was working on the tractor. Moved it to next Sunday. Still have plenty of time but want to get as much rain on it before he plants. Hope it doesn't fall through.

I hope not too. You never know what people are thinking. I find most people in my area dont really tell you everything as in what they expect out of ya while on their property.

That's why I wanna do this work and get everything explained and let him know what I plan on.

Nice Find! :icon_thumleft: It's always neat to find fishing lures, but that glass stopper is a really cool find.

It's the only one of this color I've found. I've got a couple clear ones. Which I had the bottle to go with it.

The bottle stopper is pre-1910. I believe one of the element used in the glass making is manganese and that element is what turns purple when the sun light hits it. From what I was told they quit using manganese prior to 1910. I have a couple of the purple stoppers that I found on the desert while arrowhead hunting.

Thanks Jon. Learning something new everyday.
