ugh.. the days when nickels weren't nickels..
the first canadian 5-cent coin made of nickel was struck in the early 1920's so i guess all earlier ones should be called "silvers" or 5-cents lol.. but that's an awesome find! very exciting, regardless of it's silver content! way to go!
