Looks like you got some nice fossils!!!:icon_thumright:

Yep it was fun! Brought them home and cleaned them up :)

You realize that because you are taking so many, the suzyjill's a hundred years from now will have nothing to collect along the river. And when they find your former house, buried under 5000 feet of fossils they will think an insane person probably lived there. By the way, if you have children, go ask them what they will do with your rocks when you die? Or better yet, ask your husband and tell him I said to tell the truth...

Those are pretty neat. the creek I used to play in as a kid is now covered in concrete.

I don't exactly know how to reply to that. I don't think I could do that much damage, but I will definitely give it some thought for the SuzyJills of the future. I do not live in clutter - quite the opposite. I give some away, I save my favorites. When I die? Well, I don't know. Hopefully my favorite rocks and fossils will go somewhere fabulous. If not, maybe back to the river (which is fabulous). For now they are in my rock beds landscaping my beautiful yard God blessed me with. Some girls go shopping, other girls after working long shifts as a nurse and seeing patients either pass away or get well - go to the river. I do both. But I turn into a kid with no worries at the river. Insane? Rude. My children and my husband? Boundries.

I honestly thought his comment was rude.. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but some should keep them to themselves. just saying

Nice way to relax & unwind, good finds.

Fossis................

Hey, I'm only kidding you. Don't take life so seriously. Trust me, I collected fossils for years, taught science in school for 30 and when I moved out of the old house way back when, they all stayed there. But I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I was just playing. Enjoy your garden and your hobby. Now, there are ammonites in your area. Look it up on google. They are hard to find loose, they usually have to be chopped out of limestone and you have to do it carefully. I have broken a few, but trust me. When you get one out, they are awesome and will look good in your garden. Some are 2-3 feet across and I think that the picture of the two ribbed fossil pieces you posted were pieces of ammonites. Again, sorry for giving you a hard time, but I thought you knew me by now...

Sorry - I didn't understand. Thanks for explanation and info.
