I read a newspaper article about an old swimming spot not far from me, so I decided to give it a look during my lunch-hour. I changed out of my suit & tie and within minutes found the dime. I was not wearing my glasses, and I could make out the date, but I couldn't tell if it had a mintmark or not. The chances of finding any Denver mintmark on an early 20th century coin in this region are slim, but I was still hopeful. It is always nice to find any silver.

Nice Merc!

Sounds like a sweet spot there. If there is a small hill at the dam that goes down to the original creek bank, you want to mine that hillside out. Should be some more of those Mercs hangin around.

Good luck!........HH

Better go back and sift the hole.....Mavbe the D fell off!

LOL......nice find ....Joe

Now don't have nightmares about the d not being there...its still a great find!

I'm digginit! I get really nervous when I'm flipping those '16 mercs over. Congrats
