Had an awesome hunt today! My very first signal turned out to be a 1916 Mercury dime. It wasn’t a Denver, but I’ll definitely take it. The next few hours were mostly shotgun brass and random lead, but I still managed to pull a 1910 wheat penny and a 1906 Indian Head. I also came across a deer skull, which I plan to use in my display.

On my way back to the truck, I stumbled onto an incredible spot. Within about an hour I dug two pieces of a colonial shoe buckle, a pewter spoon handle, a flat button, musket balls, and an 1813 King George half stiver. It was getting dark, so I had to call it, but I can’t wait to get back and see what else that spot has to offer!

My first thought it was made into a whizzer.
Kind of looked like a weight of sorts.
Possibly it's a lid.

Thanks. Oddly enough. I have found these at other sites from the same time period. I would imagine they have some sort of practical application.

It's hard to say what it is but I would say it's a piece from something mechanical the holes are too uniformed and were cast or machined to exact dimensions to match other holes on another part and not something modified for later use as a toy or whatever, the previous ones you found looks like the holes were drilled/punched out to possibly make them into "spinners" or for some other purpose.

What a super spot you found. The soil there is not kind to those coins, especially the silver. You’ll dream about that spot until you can get back there again

The soil is pretty rough. It doesnt help I foind it in a low area where the soil is very wet. Ill be doing alot of dreaming...lol.
