We went back to where the old school was that we visited a couple of weeks ago. I found a horseshoe and a an old stove lid. I also found a couple of nails. We found what I think are some more geodes and strange rocks. I hope you enjoy the photos. I will post the picture of the schoolhouse area and the old spring house in the everything else section. Glad to get your comments! Good luck to all!

Crack em open, lets see whats in them. Do it over plastic, some geodes have water in them from the time of the dinosaurs...

Thanks for the replies! I forgot the pic of the area the school chimney and foundation is. It was open around 1900. Here is the chimney.

Nice finds, congrats!!

You keep finding those geodes, you might want to buy a diamond saw. They really look neat when they are sawed in half. In fact you might make more money hunting geodes than metal detecting. LOL

Nice horseshoe. At the school house site, walk off around 70 steps in each direction from the corner of the school house. This will be about one acre. Most schools sat on one acre of ground. After you have marked off the acre, start your search. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thank you for the advice on where to hunt there. I am honestly a little overwhelmed with the place and where to look!
