Hello everyone looking..... Just wanted to show what I found today at the Park's. I woke up early this morning and had that itch to go hunting (MDetecting) some newer city parks, so around 5am I made me some coffee and off I went. When I arrived at my first stop it was still kinda dark and the sun was just comming up, so I finished my coffee and out I went. Spent around 3 hours picking up alot of pulltabs, bottle caps and a few coins in "All Metal Mode" since it was a new spot, I got tired of digging trash , so I packed it up and headed off to the next new hunting ground. Drove about 15 miles and arrived at Park #2.
This park was very clean on top and underneath, hardly any trash :headbang: My MDetector started to ring off great and after 2 1/2 hours of diggin' and a pluggin', 95% of the coins I found today are from the second park. No wheats, no silver, no Gold, more pulltabs, 1 Chucky Cheese Token and a Carwash Token shown in picture. Arrived home 6 1/2 hours later, tired.......not much cash, Will i do it again? You know it! :tongue3:
.
P.S. Did'nt feel like hauling all my trash home, so I left it in the Parks trash can where it belongs. HH

Nice, havent been out yet because of the snow. Come on spring.

Nice haul of coins, thank you for sharing!

wow..you were busy!

Yes I was very busy, pennies and tabs were a ringing. :icon_thumright:
The best part of the second park was the greenskeepers were very cool about me being there, so I was very tidy about filling my holes and not making a mess of their greens.

Very good work, your digging muscles must be huge now, lol Keep digging, sooner or later you will hit gold!

Nice haul! No wonder you're tired! I think they would be hauling me away after 6 1/2 hours, I'd be in permanent MD'ing position just non motion mode! Lol!

Good haul, DIGDAWG! :notworthy: :icon_thumleft: Park #2 sounds like a dream site, hope you go over it several more times in case there's older coins deeper down! Even junky park #1 is a good backup for when you run out of easier sites -- my son and I have repeatedly dug some of our oldest coins & several lovely gold items in a rough embankment which at first we were tempted to ignore because it's also very loaded with beer caps, industrial trash, broken glass, etc. And I dug my best gold ring at an iron-infested rocky beach which had been detected for years by others -- but apparently none willing to keep detecting up against rebar-altered boulders, large buried iron junk, etc. -- that ring had been buried for decades at what I used to call the "nasty little beach" before I pulled up the small trashy items hiding it! Gold ring actually had a thin skin of iron adhering to it! I no longer call my new fave beach the "nasty little beach"!

To DIGDAWG & the other Orange County guy who just posted his wonderful mass of quarters: Between you two guys, you'll clean up Orange County real nice, lol! :laughing7: :tongue3: Welcome to t-net, guys, and we'll all be looking forward to your next finds. :cat: Andi

Yes, sir. your finds resemble my first 3 month of hunting. In subsequent hunts, those same spots scored my Mulitple Gold rings and silver coins. So I say, YES, Keep it on your list for future hunts, but also, find more places. You can never have too many places to hunt.

A couple of years ago for about 6 months I was swinging an off brand Chinese detector learning where the coins were hiding and recovery, sifted through alot of garbage getting broke in to this treasure hunt I started. The detector had Pinpointing and Disc. with old school turn dials and a needle meter, but I was determined to make it work for me and eventually got the swing of things and started finding some coins. I was just finding mostly clad and pennies in parks and beaches but never came home with much, I found myself carring the MD with me everywhere I went. I'd be driving down the street stopping any place I thought there might be something to find, even found coins in places you would never think they would be.
Then I bought a Minelab X-terra 305, and like you said, went back to the places I hunted before and thought I already cleaned out. The first time I tryed my new Minelab out was so much fun, I basically just turned it on and started, no adjusting or fine tuning and was hitting coins like crazy and found my first silver dime that day.
I've recently bought a Garret AT Pro and loving it, watch out Gold....here I come!
