Hellow everyone. Hope you are enjoying the nice weather and are doing some serious detecting. Had a chance today to meet up with my friend, Randy. We went to a new place which is on my 1876 map platt of Champaign county. I have drove past this place for a while contemplating on asking but my friend Randy ask the guy before I did. He had no problem letting us in. In fact, he has now become hooked watching us and is going to order an Ace 250 from Kellyco (my recommendation) next week. He is a nice younger fellow with 3 kids and wife. He wants to stay in touch and have me be his mentor. I wonder if I can handle that
The only problem is the place has trash. However, my friend Randy was able to dig a 1944 Quarter early in the hunt. I managed 4 wheats, the oldest a 1917, and the others in the 50's. No silver for me today. Found some interesting relics though. One looks like a pocket watch cover. A 4-H thingy, a hot wheels (firebird) 1967 , another old car and some clad coins. All of the memorials are 60's and 70's. Clad dimes a few quarters. The pics tell the rest.
At the end of my post's you will see 3 vintage photo books of Indian Lake, Ohio. A very famous resort back in the early years. I am always studying and planning my next hunt before it is ever here
Thanks for looking and enjoy. Ron S.
